Availability: Currently on interim assignment at the West Avon Congregational Church for Fall 2010.

I have had experience in all facets of church musical performance. I can assist churches on a temporary or interim basis with the following.

• Organ Performance:
  Church Services
  Experienced substitute organist for liturgical and non-liturgical churches, including Protestant, Episcopal and Lutheran.

• Organ Performance
  Weddings and Funerals
  Organ music or organ or piano with vocalists or instrumentalists.

• Choral Conducting
  Experienced substitute choir director available for rehearsals, warm-up and conducting choir from the console at a service. Assistance at selecting appropriate repertoire for service or season.

• Handbell Choirs and Instrumental Ensembles

• Accompaniment of Instrumentalists and Soloists

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fees

Substitute Organist and Choir Director:
I look for guidance to the fee schedules for weddings, funerals and substituting issued by the American Guild of Organists; however, I am flexible when it comes to assessing the needs of each individual church.

Interim Organist and Choir Director Position:
Once again, the AGO guidelines can be helpful but are not mandatory. In general, an experienced interim who can maintain a music program on an interim basis should receive the same salary as a permanent organist for the position.
